ABOUT US
Sight -N LLC is a unique training company that consists of two separate, but interrelated training sections. Our personal defense section deals with topics that are related to self-defense including women and youth Rape Aggression Defense (RAD), environmental awareness and threat recognition, legal issues related to use of force, defensive firearms, concealed carry, proper mental conditioning as well as other related classes.
Our other training section deals with developing those skill sets needed to form high-performance teams, and training participants in the skills needed for leaders to include communications, problem-solving, focus, responsibility/accountability, attention to detail, trust, leading when needed, and following when appropriate.
We have found that the skills and mental conditioning needed for self-awareness and defense mirror those required to be a great leader. Participants can take specific courses in one area or hybrid courses involving both distinct training sections. Programs are designed around your specific request, needs, and time constraints.

Keri CarpenterMy background is in Public Service, having spent 30 years as a law enforcement officer, primarily in Florida.
During the early part of my career, I trained hard to become a tactical officer. With hard work and training, I became the second female in the State of Florida selected for a SWAT team representing Escambia County, Pensacola, Florida. As I progressed in my training and experience, one area of I found frustrating was firearms instruction. None of my early training was directed at the female shooter, sometimes making it difficult to digest. Many instructors just pushed out the same content exactly the way they had been taught much like a parrot. Often presenting solutions that had no meaning to the student, as was done for left-handed shooters who constantly heard, “you just do the opposite”. These experiences led me to seek advanced certifications in firearms training and other subjects relevant to my career. These training opportunities led to my recruitment as a contract trainer for the Department of Justice and later the Department of Defense, providing opportunities to learn and teach worldwide. In 2015, I opened my own training company, Sight N LLC, focusing on introducing women to firearms, self-defense, situational awareness, and other topics taught in a positive environment. An environment using language better suited to new shooters, especially women. My goal is to provide a learning environment that is relaxed and engaging, allowing students to learn in a comfortable, non-threatening yet professional setting that enhances the student's confidence and increases their competency. In 2021, I retired from Public Service to invest in my training company. |
